My mother had booked a meal with The Sanctury for a Saturday evening and was a celebratory meal for me getting a new job. I have to say, what a fantastic place, the ambience, staff, food, presentation and drink was exceptionally good. Being `foodies' and dined in some of the best restaurants in the North East, The Sanctuary comes very high on my list! Having never been before, we were all impressed and will certainly come again. As a suprise I was taken to the Sanctuary Restaurant for Mothers Day lunch. The food was superb and the service very good also. We all enjoyed our desserts very much. We will definatly be returning soon.

The Sancturary has been a wonderful place for me to enjoy both a lunch and dinner while visiting Alnwick. The food was delicious and the staff were very welcoming. I am sure that I will enjoy meals here again when visiting Alnwick. The setting in the castle was so charming with the mix of history and contemporary tastefully joined.

What an experience , thankyou to everyone who works at the Sanctuary Restaurant .To visit a Castle is one thing but to find that this Restaurant holds it's own identity with the interiors so tastful ,food exquisite and the warmth and professional manner in which the hard working staff treated us. We wish we had found it sooner on our stay in the area .Thankyou
