The Sanctuary at The Castle is a unique world class restaurant, wine bar and event venue in Alnwick Castle, home of the Duke and Duchess of Northumberland.

Open all year, The Sanctuary at The Castle is a fabulous place for eating, drinking, private functions or simply enjoying good company. Chef's Chris Wood and Del Thomas menus reflect their passion for and interest in local food and ingredients. Quality produce is used to create and present exquisite dishes at a reasonable price.

Spanning three levels with the wine bar on the ground floor, The Sanctuary’s chic modern interior perfectly complements the magnificent medieval Alnwick Castle.

Castle and non-Castle visitors are welcome. Castle visitors enter via the Courtyard. For non-Castle visitors and evening visitors the entrance is via Bow Alley, 125 metres from Castle Square just off Narrowgate. There is parking close by.
